Canada Post Strike – Excalibur’s Mailing Procedures

Canada Post announced a national strike last week that begins today, November 18, and will result in service disruptions for all postal mail delivery.

In order to minimize disruption to you, Excalibur Insurance will make some temporary changes during the strike.

Your Policy Documentation/Renewal or Change Declaration Pages:

This documentation, which is normally mailed through Canada Post, will be emailed to you during the service disruption. If you need to update the email address that we have on file for you, please contact our office at 1-888-298-7343.

All Other Mail:

All non-essential mail that does not fall under the documentation outlined above will be held at Excalibur Offices in Clinton, Mitchell, Exeter or London until the strike has been resolved.

In addition, the following services are always available to you:

  • If you require copies of your policies or liability slips we can email or fax these to you. You may also you pick these documents up at one of our offices, at your convenience.
  • Changes made to your policy during the service disruption that affect your payment schedule will be emailed to you. If you do not have an email, we will provide a courtesy phone call to let you know what the changes are.
  • You will be able to make payments at any of our offices or by credit card online, at your individual insurance company website. You can find more information about how to make a payment to one of our company partners by clicking here.
  • If you have downloaded Excalibur’s mobile dashboard app you can access your policy documents, payment schedule, pink liability slip, and more, right on your cell phone. If you would like to be set-up on the mobile dashboard app, please contact our office at 1-888-298-7343.

Claims:

In the event of a claim during the service disruption, you will be able to make arrangements with the Claims Adjuster on how you will be able to pick up your cheque.

Please note that your Excalibur Insurance Broker will have copies of all your policies and payment schedules if you require them during the service disruption and will email them to you if needed.  If you do not have an email address, you can pick up a copy at one of our locations at your convenience.
