Accidents happen – no matter what we do to try and prevent them. In these unfortunate times, many of us are thankful that we have purchased insurance beforehand. While you would rather not have to make a claim, nor take the time to navigate the claims’ process, this is where your Insurance Broker shines. They help you navigate the sometimes complex claims’ process to get your settlement easier and with less hassle.

Brokers stand up to Insurance Companies on your behalf.

Working with a Broker like Excalibur Insurance Group, means you never have to deal directly with your insurance company. Instead, you’ll contact your Insurance Broker for everything from filing a claim to renewing your insurance policy.

Note: in the province of Ontario, it is a requirement to notify your insurance company within a certain timeframe of an auto accident, if it involves any damages to property or an injury. If you fail to do so, your claim may be denied. However, when you work with an Insurance Broker, you need only inform them – and then they will help you through the process. They will have the knowhow of what information you are required to submit with the claim.

A house fire or a flooded basement is an unpleasant experience for anyone. Having a personal champion by your side simply makes life easier, saving you time, stress, and headaches.

If you need to make a claim, your Broker is there to ensure that you receive fair and prompt payment so that your life can get back to normal. Brokers are also there to be your personal advisor on insurance matters; making sure your family, your possessions and your business are properly protected.

Unlike an Insurance Company, your Broker is always loyal to you.

At Excalibur Insurance Group we advise you on how to best handle the claim while communicating with the insurance company on your behalf. Plus, if you’re ever in a dispute with your insurance company, your Broker goes to bat for you, because that’s their job. Your Broker advocates only for you, plus their experience often accelerates their ability to settle disputes with insurance companies in your favour.

A Broker will also build a relationship with you over time and get to know your needs better. They know what your circumstances are and will use their experience to properly advise you on what you claim. It helps to know your policy’s coverage limits and specifics when submitting a claim – all of which a Broker can help you with, too.
