Who is Aviva Insurance Company of Canada?

In 2003, Aviva Insurance Company of Canada came to be after a series of mergers, acquisitions, and rebranding. Aviva’s roots trace back to 17th century England when it was better known as Pilot Insurance Company, and Scottish & York Insurance Co. Ltd. Aviva came to Canada in the early 19th century, opening their first Canadian-based location in 1835. Today, Aviva serves over 2.8 million customers across Canada and managed 12 per cent of the total Ontario insurance market in 2018.
