Introducing Voice Quoting!
“Alexa, ask Excalibur Insurance for a car insurance quote.”
In case you missed it, last week we announced our voice quoting system in partnership with Wawanesa Canada and ProNavigator. This new technology is one of the first projects to come out of Wawanesa’s Innovation Outpost Lab in Kitchener/Waterloo. Watch Jeff Roy (Excalibur’s CEO) and Joseph D’Souza (ProNavigator’s CEO) demo the technology by clicking the image above.

Team Member Spotlight – Joanne Spylo
Meet Joanne. From the “clink” of a baseball hitting a bat to the “thwack” of a puck rocketing off the boards at an 8 am practice, it’s all music to Joanne’s ears. After countless hours watching her kids play sports Joanne has learned a lot about their resilience after a hard game. Making sure her clients also have the opportunity to bounce back is what motivates Joanne to triple check coverages and go the extra mile when she’s in the office. Thanks Joanne.
Fun with Aiden – Aiden’s Question of the Week
“Who invented the granola bar?”
We asked and were surprised to find out that this wasn’t his first “wacky” invention.
Our online chatbot Aiden spends most of her time sourcing answers to serious insurance questions – but she also has a lighter side. To learn the answer to her interesting question this week, just ask her!

Team Member Spotlight – Andrea VanderLoo
Meet Andrea. When you’re talking to Andrea about rates, being competitive is a given. Years of volleyball, ball hockey, and squash have honed her competitive spirit, work ethic, and ability to thrive under pressure. We love that every day she brings that mindset into the office to help make sure our customers are always getting the best from their policy. Thanks Andrea.
Pushing the Insurance Envelope
“If it’s not getting done fast enough, there’s nothing wrong with going out there and making it happen yourself.” Excalibur CEO Jeff Roy recently joined Ryan Hanley of Agency Nation on his podcast to discuss pushing the envelope that is insurance.
