Community Champions – Ava Dawe & Julia Wynja

At Excalibur Insurance we believe good deeds, and the people behind them, shouldn’t go unrecognized.

That’s why we made the decision to create the Excalibur Insurance “Community Champion Award”. This award is given to people who act selflessly to do something special in a time of need. It may involve another person, animals, an organization, group, or really any opportunity that benefits from someone’s efforts to go above and beyond in their community.

On October 9, 2015 we honoured Ava Dawe and Julia Wynja, who decided that rather than receiving presents for their shared 8 year birthday party, they would raise money that they could donate to the Clinton Public Hospital. In doing so, they raised $620.00 and presented it to the CPH Foundation vice chair, Una Roy and administrative assistant, Virginia Steckle, on Sept 30^th.
