King City, Ontario was founded in 1890, when James Whiting Crossley merged the hamlets of Springhill, Kinghorn, Laskay, and Eversley. United!
With its rolling hills, clustered temperate
forests, kettle lakes, scattered ponds, creeks and streams, King City is a picture postcard place to live and visit. Beauty!
King City is the home town for former NHL goaltending king, Curtis Joseph. Known as Cujo – after the Stephen King novel featuring a snarling dog – Joseph had the face of just such an animal painted on his distinctive goalie mask. Grrr!
