Today is World Cancer Awareness Day……. It is a day when all of us step back and be thankful for the ones we have with us who have fought the cancer battle and won and remember those that have lost the battle and we miss very much.
It’s a day we at Excalibur want to give a big shout out Childcan. This is one of the many great organizations that help families of a child who is battling childhood cancer. Childcan raises awareness and funds for childhood cancer in order to support childhood cancer research and provide responsive and compassionate programs and services to families facing the journey through childhood cancer, from diagnosis through treatment, to recovery or bereavement.
As the parent of a child who went through her own battle with Leukemia, I know first-hand the valuable work that Childcan does for families. The emotional and social support will never be forgotten. Keep up the great work Childcan.
