Read to Ride: Nominate a Classroom!
Attention Teachers! We’re looking for nominations for our Read to Ride program this fall.
If you are a 2nd or 3rd grade-teacher in Ontario, you can nominate your class for a chance to participate. The Read to Ride program is also available to split classes, including a 1/2 split, 2/3 split, or 3/4 split.
We launched our Read to Ride program earlier this year with the goal of helping children sharpen their reading skills by encouraging regular practice with fun incentives (ballots, pizza parties, new bikes) along the way.
To learn more about Read to Ride visit our webpage, or nominate your class today!

Approximately every 90 days, we will update the Contest Champions page with a new giveaway.
To kick off the launch, we’re giving away a $500 DeWalt Combo Kit and donating $500 to Habitat for Humanity. To enter, visit the page here.
2021-2022 Defender of Honour Program
Our Defender of Honour Program has wrapped-up for another season.
Last week, the London Knights lost 4-3 in Game 7 Overtime to the Kitchener Rangers, bringing an end to their playing season and our Defender of Honour program for another year.
This marked the 7th season of our Defender of Honour program, where we work with the London Knights to recognize those who have served our country.
If you’d like to nominate a veteran for next year, click here. If chosen, they will receive two tickets to a London Knights home game and a special on-ice presentation recognizing them for their service.
National Pet Day with the Excalibur Team

Growing Cannabis & Your Home Insurance
In October 2018, Canada became one of the first countries in the world to legalize marijuana for both medicinal and recreational purposes. In addition to the legalization, households are now permitted to grow up to four cannabis plants.
Many people know that smoking – whether cigarettes or marijuana – will impact the cost of your Life Insurance, but did you know that your Home Insurance could also be impacted if you grow your own cannabis? Here’s how.
Protect Your “Happy Place” With Cottage Insurance
We’ve been dreaming of sunshine, flip-flops, and deck parties at the cottage all winter; but before we head to the cottage, it’s time to find a better insurance rate for your vacation home.
So we’ve updated our Cottage Insurance page, because your “Happy Place” should never become an afterthought.
Personal and Business Cyber Insurance
At this very moment, your business is 9 times more likely to be hacked than have a fire.
Recently, one of our commercial business clients purchased a CyberBoxx Cyber Insurance policy with us, which ended up saving their business from a malware attack.
We wanted to share their story to help other business owners better understand the value that Cyber Insurance can bring to your organization. *Names have been edited for privacy purposes*
In the fall of 2021, ABC purchased a Cyberboxx 1-Star Membership; the base cyber package and our most affordable coverage option. The Cyberboxx team ran a scan on ABC’s website as part of the package and found that malware had already been installed on their website.
We connected the Cyberboxx team with ABC, and they were able to talk the company through fixing the problem, preventing a potential breach.
If you’d like to learn more about Business Cyber Insurance or view plan options, click here.
We’ve also created a landing page where you can quote, bind, and issue your own Personal Cyber Insurance policy to protect your family against Cyber Attacks, Extortion, Fraud, Data Breach, and Cyber Bullying.
Excalibur’s Easter Egg Hunt
